BLACK HOUSE

As you look upon him in the distance, into the distance he looks;

As he rips into darkness, in the darkness stars fall.

He lights up the night, he lights up hope;

A bullet stops,

A hero comes forth.

A White House of democracy, a Black House of sacrifice;

A hope for tomorrow given from the blackest of nights.

As The White House is brushed white and opaque every year, The Black House will stay black and reflective in the memories of the past. As the brightest of lights emerges from the darkness, our bright symbol of democracy will face the gravitas of the sacrifice given to sustain it.

In the daytime, it creates a night which remembers the darkness the war, and rising from it, a hero who holds up the sky, who brings starlight as rays of hope.

A hovering light falls down as a stopped bullet, frozen in time.

In the nighttime, from The Black House shines a beam of warm light from inside to the sky to be a guardian of the night, a light in the darkness, a symbol of the first World War
